Self-love is taking care of yourself and giving yourself a break when you need one. It also serves as a reminder that when you love yourself more fully, you not only become filled with more love, but that love also begins to spill over into the world and radiate outward.
Starting today, here are five simple ways to cultivate self-love.
1. Make time for yourself to celebrate:
You can overcome negative self-talk by cultivating self-love. It gives us a chance to reevaluate ourselves and see ourselves in a more positive light. Write a list of the things you like about yourself in your journal to accomplish this. These can be things you like about yourself, achievements, or physical.
2. “Me time” for yourself:
Many of us have a lot of responsibilities for other people and lead busy lives. This includes relationships at work, with children, and with loved ones.
